Led by a world-class faculty of scientists, technologists, policy makers, economists and entrepreneurs, EIT aims to develop and deploy commercially sustainable solutions to solve some of humanity’s most enduring challenges. We are joined by Lisa Flashner, COO of EIT Oxford, and Prof Andrew Scott, Principal Scientist (Economics) at EIT, who will discuss their plans and ambitions for EIT Oxford.

Lisa Flashner, Prof Andrew Scott CBE

Lisa is the COO at EIT, where she leads strategic planning and business functions. Currently based in Oxford, Lisa plays a key role in overseeing EIT’s operations, real estate, construction, and expansion efforts for its Oxford campus. Before relocating to Oxford, Lisa spent 15 years as the COO of the Ellison Medical Institute (EMI) in Los Angeles. She now continues to support EMI as a senior advisor. Additionally, she serves as a board member of the Ellison Institute Research Foundation.

Andrew oversees the economic analysis across the EIT’s Humane Endeavours. He is a Professor of Economics at London Business School and a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research. His research focuses on macroeconomic trends that shape society and the economy with a particular focus on longevity, demographic change and AI and robotics.
