Rosalyn will explain how Stanhope are bringing Active Inference to market as a novel framework for autonomous decision-making. To contend with the challenges of contemporary AIs, their distinct approach aims to offer true intelligence with critical human explainability and reliability.
Rosalyn is the CEO of Stanhope AI and a professor of Computational Neuroscience and Engineering. After 20 years of research, Rosalyn founded Stanhope AI as a vehicle to apply a foundational brain theory towards improvements and innovations in AI adaptability, functionality and efficiency, focusing on autonomous machines and robotics. She was the deputy director of King’s Institute for AI and deputy head of the Department of Neuroimaging at King’s College London. She has also held faculty positions in Engineering Mathematics, Electrical & Computer Engineering and Neurobiology at the University of Bristol and Virginia Tech. She received her PhD in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from University College Dublin in 2007.
