Christophe is the Worldwide Managing Partner, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Bain & Company, overseeing the firm’s global strategy and operations while maintaining Bain’s culture. Prior to serving as Bain’s Worldwide Managing Partner, Christophe led Bain’s EMEA Private Equity practice and served as managing partner of Bain’s Brussels office. Christophe joined Bain in 2000 and, over his 20+ year career at the firm, has advised global CEOs while being recognized as one of the foremost experts in deal advisory and value creation work for portfolio companies owned by financial investors. He has supported a wide range of due diligence efforts across both private equity and corporate mergers and acquisitions, in addition to fund strategy for a variety of investors. Christophe began his career in consumer products at Procter & Gamble and has been active in Bain’s Consumer Products practice, where he has deep expertise in growth and marketing strategy, as well as transformation and turnaround programs. Christophe is a member of the World Economic Forum, including the Forum’s Alliance of CEO Climate Leaders, and a member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. He was the 2005 recipient of Bain & Company’s Bright-Dix Award, which recognizes excellence in professional development. He sits on the Board of Directors of Kick Cancer, a non-profit to fight paediatric cancer. Christophe holds master’s degrees in civil engineering and multilingual business communication from the University of Ghent.

Karen is the Managing Director of Bain & Company’s Macro Trends Group and a partner in the New York office. The Bain Macro Trends Group (MTG) is the capability group for developing Bain’s insights about global macroeconomics, macro social trends and geopolitics as they impact the results of Bain’s clients. The group’s proprietary research includes work on trends driving global growth in GDP and in capital markets, as well as specific geographic analyses (including China, the United States, and the Eurozone), which it uses to help clients understand the potential impact of the volatile global environment on their businesses. She frequently works with institutional investors to embed macro strategy into their investment strategy and due diligence. Karen has an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. She graduated with honors from Stanford University, where she received a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in International Relations. Karen is regularly featured in major media outlets including the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Economic Times of India, Caijing China, CEO Forum Australia, Bloomberg and FOX Television. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the National Committee on US-China Relations, and the Economics Club of New York. Karen is a Global Futures Council member for the World Economic Forum as well as a member of the Community of Chief Economists. She also serves on the board of Helen Keller International.
