Transforming business sectors to slash carbon
Hear from Simon Daniel, founder of Moixa, Pierre Paslier, co-founder of Notpla and Sarah Chapman, CEO of My Solar Roof, three UK based entrepreneurs developing climate tech solutions to support a greener future – the challenges, the successes, the impact and the opportunities.
Simon founded Moixa – a leading UK smart battery and software company, now part of Lunar Energy. Lunar has raised $300m for electrification of homes. Moixa’s Gridshare software manages the worlds largest fleets of batteries in homes (already in 35,000 homes In Japan), helping to provide virtual power plants to reduce peak demand and displace fossil fuels from bills.
Pierre, cofounder of Notpla, one of the break-out companies of the new-materials wave that’s taking on the dominance of plastic. From a Hackney warehouse, Notpla is using seaweed to make packaging disappear. Notpla has raised more than £15m over 8 years and is rapidly scaling.
Sarah is the CEO of My Solar Roof, a new startup aiming to make the transition to clean home energy easy, straightforward and affordable for UK homeowners. Previously she founded and then sold Faro Energy, a solar finance company focused on emerging markets. She is also an adviser and Non-Exec Director to startups, investors and non-profits in the climate tech space.
