Lara is Cleveland Clinic’s inaugural Chief Research Information Officer and a Professor of Neurology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. An epilepsy specialist, she leads the Outcomes Research program for Epilepsy and serves as Executive Program Lead for the Discovery Accelerator, overseeing AI, quantum computing, and data science projects in collaboration with international organizations. Lara co-chairs the Healthcare and Life Sciences Quantum Working Group and the AI Alliance formed by IBM and Meta, and advises industry and federal agencies including the National Institutes of Health and the FDA.
Ben is Cleveland Clinic’s Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer. His expertise is in AI and Machine Learning, with a career spanning 25 years in applied R&D. He has held research and engineering positions at prominent technology companies such as Nuance, IBM, Yahoo, Google, and SiriusXM. His work covers diverse fields including speech recognition, natural language processing, information retrieval, online search and advertising. Ben earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and is credited with numerous patents and publications.
