Herman is the co-founder and CEO of Improbable, a British technology start-up that creates and enables virtual worlds. These worlds can take the form of multiplayer games or synthetic environments that simulate the real world, helping governments model, plan and train.
Improbable was founded in 2012 by Herman and Rob Whitehead, who met whilst studying computer science at the University of Cambridge. It has received over $600m in funding from some of the most reputable investors in the world, including the SoftBank Vision Fund, Andreessen Horowitz, Horizons Ventures and NetEase.
