Donald Trump is changing everything, everywhere all at once
In a wide-ranging conversation with John Arlidge, Jonathan will be discussing the politics of the US, UK and Middle East – and what an extraordinary, forgotten story of 1943 can tell us about the age of Trump. That story is told in his latest book, The Traitors Circle (published 11.09.25).

Jonathan is a Guardian columnist, presenter of BBC Radio 4’s The Long View, as well as two podcasts, Politics Weekly America for the Guardian and Unholy alongside the journalist Yonit Levi. He has won the Orwell Prize for journalism and has authored 14 books, both fiction and non-fiction, the latest being The Traitors Circle: the Rebels Against the Nazis and the Spy who Betrayed Them.
