What are Critical Minerals and why do they matter? Jonathan was appointed President and CEO of Teck on November 1, 2023, and has served on the Board since July 2022. He has led Teck’s transformation into a global critical minerals champion. Since joining Teck in 2020, he has also served as CEO, and EVP & CFO, bringing extensive international experience across finance, commercial, and business development roles. He is Chair of ICMM’s Nature Advisory Group, Co Chair of WEF’s Champions of Nature, Chair of WEF’s Mining & Metals Governors, and a UN Women HeForShe Champion. Prior to Teck, he held senior roles at BHP from 2006 to 2020. He holds an MEng from Oxford and an MBA from Cardiff.
