Longevity: What’s Missing?

Take metformin, resveratrol and regular ice baths. Longevity is the biggest trend in health and wellness at the moment, with apps, wearables, supplements and influencers all vying for our attention, but what are the hidden essentials that can actually keep us healthier for longer? And what should we measure and prioritise as individuals?

Sarah Carolides & Dr. Nikita Grover

Sarah is a Functional Nutritionist at Lanserhof at the Arts Club. With over 25 years of experience supporting clients achieve their health goals with targeted nutrition and lifestyle changes, Sarah works closely with the medical profession and her most recent published research papers were conducted with Prof. Firas al Niaimi on the links between gut and skin health. Sarah holds undergraduate and postgraduate science degrees from the University of Cambridge; was awarded a Metcalf Fellowship from McGill University and is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine. She has Diplomas from the Institute of Functional Medicine, Institute of Optimum Nutrition and the Centre for Integrative Sports Nutrition. She is also the Head of Nutrition for Zooki.com. Sarah is a passionate motivational health speaker, is frequently quoted in the press, appears regularly on TV and works closely with several large UK and international companies providing courses and podcasts that support anyone seeking to optimise their health and wellness.

Nikita qualified in Medicine from University College London. During her thirty years in the profession she gained diplomas in Child Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dermatology and Nutrition. More recently she has become a Certified Practitioner with both the US Institute of Functional Medicine and the Austrian Society of Mayr doctors. As a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of GPs, Nikita continues as a NHS GP in North London where she has worked for over 20 years, as well as lecturing in Culinary Medicine at the UCL medical school. She practises at Lanserhof at the Arts Club working with patients to improve their health, energy and weight by identifying genetic predispositions and alterations to the gut microbiome and targeting them through nutrition and lifestyle. She is passionate about empowering patients to regain control of their health.
