Lord George Robertson
NATO at 75. What comes now?
Lord Robertson was 10th Secretary General of NATO and before that UK Defence Secretary. He was in the House of Commons for 21 years and among other positions was Principal Opposition Spokesman on Scotland and before that on Europe. Since NATO he has been Deputy Chairman of Cable and Wireless plc and BP’s Russian Joint Venture TNK/BP. He is an adviser to the CEO of BP, Vice Patron of the Edinburgh Tattoo, Chancellor of the University of Dundee, a Senior Adviser to Chatham House, on the International Advisory Board of the Atlantic Council and Senior Counsellor with The Cohen Group (Washington DC). In addition, he is a member of the House of Lords International Affairs and Defence Committee.
