Robert Rosenkranz
The Stoic Capitalist: Advice for the Exceptionally Ambitious
The Stoic ideal of a well-lived life has been around since 300BC, but what can we learn from it 2,300 years later? Drawing on observations in his book, The Stoic Capitalist, Robert shows how its teachings can lead to a life of accomplishment, fulfilment, and impact.

Robert is a financier, philanthropist, and public policy advocate. He is Chairman of Delphi Capital Management and founder of multiple investment and private equity partnerships. Previously, he was CEO of Delphi Financial Group, a tax lawyer at Cahill, Gordon & Reindel, an economist at The RAND Corporation, and a general partner at Oppenheimer & Co. As Founder and Chairman of Open to Debate, he promotes civil discourse through debates, a podcast, and an NPR program. His Rosenkranz Foundation funds public policy research, scientific inquiry into aging, and cultural innovation. He serves on the boards of the Whitney Museum, Serpentine Galleries, the Manhattan Institute, Hoover Institution, Buck Institute for Aging, and Hevolution Foundation.
"The Stoic Capitalist is as much about life as career, as much about personal growth as professional development, and as much about giving back as getting ahead. It's an inspiring story of a life well lived."
