From personal resilience to UK industrial strategy
In a wide ranging conversation with John Arlidge, Tim will discuss personal resilience/leading in the public eye, the transformation of long standing institutions, the future of the UK creative industries and the UK Industrial Strategy.
Tim was Director-General of the BBC from September 2020 to April 2026. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive of BBC Studios, the BBC’s principal commercial subsidiary, and before that, Director of Audio and Music. Prior to the BBC, he was Vice President of Marketing and Franchise at PepsiCo Europe, having worked for Procter and Gamble after leaving Cambridge University. Tim is a Trustee of the Tate; he is a former chair of Comic Relief and former co-chair of the Creative Industries Council.
