Michael co-founded Columbia Care in 2012 and serves as Executive Chairman.

Prior to founding Columbia Care, Michael’s career was in finance. He worked at Swiss Bank Corporation from 1990 to 1996 when he joined Goldman Sachs as a Vice President in the Convertible Trading and Sales Department and later led its Structured Product Trading and Origination Group.

He then co-founded the foreign exchange trading hedge fund, Elysium Capital in 2002. In 2010 Michael was appointed Chief Investment Officer of the Cornell University endowment and in 2012 he became a Managing Director at the Raptor Group, a single family office based out of Boston and New York City.

Michael started his professional career in 1983 as a London police officer.
