Tim became Director-General of the BBC on 1 September 2020. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive of BBC Studios, the BBC’s principal commercial subsidiary, and before that, Director of Audio and Music. Prior to the BBC, he was Vice President of Marketing and Franchise at PepsiCo Europe, having worked for Procter and Gamble after leaving Cambridge University. Tim is a Trustee of the Tate; he is a former chair of Comic Relief and former co-chair of the Creative Industries Council.
