In this Pi call we will hear from David Miliband about how the pandemic is hitting fragile states and those that are fleeing their homes. He will talk about the impact of the virus on the charitable sector and those who depend upon charities for their livelihoods as well as the role of charities more broadly – and their relationship with government – going forward.
As President and CEO of the International Rescue Committee David oversees the agency’s humanitarian relief operations in more than 40 war-affected countries.
He graduated from Oxford University in 1987 with a first class honors degree in PPE and received a master’s degree in political science in 1989 from MIT, which he attended as a Kennedy Scholar.
